Knox County lets their notaries renew early, which is always better than renewing too late!
Knox county does not provide your seal, only your commission. Some counties provide the seal also. The fee in Knox is $12.00 for application, $5.00 for notary by clerk, and if you pay via credit/debit card there is a .43 fee, for a total of $17.43 the day you apply or renew your notary commission.
Remember - your bond will be from the beginning to the end of your commission. You will need your bond when you pick up your commission.
*This info is only for tradional notary commission NOT Remote Online Notary (RON) commission, which is a seperate process and costs $75. You must be a tradional notary to be a RON in TN.
